Pest Control Shouldn't Be This Funny

Download Milestone Reached on Episode 50

March 17, 2016 by Steve Jackson

We were fortunate enough to get a mention on the Pest Management Professional Blog for our recent milestones.

Arthropodcast’s episode 50 featuring Jerry Schappert was posted on Sunday March 13th and with it’s release, we exceeded 10,000 downloads.

We have the best group of listeners in the world and want to thank you all for making this awesome event happen.

We also thank our guests. They have selflessly given up free time to help us build the podcast into something entertaining and informative.

If you haven’t seen the article, you can find it here: Industry Podcast Reaches 10,000 downloads during 50th episode.

Update: PCT picked it up as well. Here’s their version of the press release: Pest Control Podcast Reaches 10,000 Downloads

So How Did it All Start?

At some point, I’ll write about this in length, but here’s the short story: Bryan and I have been friends since I started in this industry years ago.

After becoming business owners, we would frequently talk about our struggles in the pest control industry. As most of you know Bryan has a very unique and humorous outlook on life, so even our gripe sessions turned into funny moments.

At some point, I said to myself, “We should just record these conversations, because I’m certain SOMEBODY would find them entertaining”.

It appears some folks will agree.

The Future

We’re not exactly where we want to be in regards to production and hosting skills, but I think we’ve come a long way.

Be on the lookout for more guests, a twist of serious topics, and a whole lot more cowbell.

Until next episode, take care y’all.
